Northside Children’s Carnival
You are invited to participate in the Northside Children’s Carnival.
Imagine an event that brings people out of their homes to gather in the community. Imagine children and parents laughing together. Imagine a North Minneapolis event known for its positive, family entertainment. Imagine the Northside Children’s Carnival!
The Northside Children’s Carnival is going to be all that and more. The day-long event stretches out over two blocks and features children’s games, family activities, entertainment, and kiddie rides! We are also waiting confirmation on the appearance of professional athletes from one or more of Minnesota’s professional sports teams. In 2007, its inaugural year, we expect between two and three thousand people to attend. In following years, we envision a large, multi-day event that brings the best in family entertainment right onto the streets of North Minneapolis.
The purpose of the event is to:
- Hold a fun, family-friendly event that contributes to a positive image of North Minneapolis,
- Call attention to the need for high-quality early education for all children, and
- Raise money for the Bright Water sliding-fee early education program.
Here are a few different ways for you to support the Northside Children's Carnival:
- Give a monetary donation. All donors who give at least $50 will be listed on the carnival map, on the website, and in our annual report. A $200 donation is considered a game booth sponsor with your name on the game booth and your logo added to promotional materials. Donor Form
55K - Have an information table; spaces are available for as little as $50. Hand out your info and spread the word about the great work you do! Information and Vendor Booth Agreement
55K - Send volunteers to the event. By volunteering to staff a game booth, you can put the name of your organization on that booth's sign, and actively engage people about your organization as they come to play the game. Food and Game Booth Volunteers
53K - Provide an in-kind donation of small toys, individually wrapped snacks, pop, or other items that can be used as prizes. Donor Form

The Northside Children’s Carnival is organized by Bright Water Montessori, a provider of high-quality early childhood education, located at Emerson and 37th Avenue North. The vision of Bright Water Montessori School is to make high-quality early childhood education and childcare available on a sliding-fee basis so that all families are able to afford the best in early education for their children.
We are very excited about the Carnival and look forward to making it a wonderful community event. If you would like more information about the event, please contact Elizabeth Badillo Moorman, Northside Children’s Carnival Coordinator, at 612-203-3378.
